About EmpireClock
EmpireClock is developed by Asher Bloom. The app displays your device’s date and time and an approximate location based on your internet connection. It does not require an account, and the app does not include advertising or analytics software.
Approximate location
When the clock view is created, EmpireClock connects directly to ipapi.co, operated by Kloudend, Inc., over HTTPS to look up your approximate city, region, and country. The service receives your public IP address and the connection information associated with that request. A VPN or network provider can affect the result.
EmpireClock does not request GPS or Location Services access. It displays the location response in memory and does not maintain a location history or send the result to a server operated by Asher Bloom. The provider’s privacy policy describes its handling of requests, including retaining IP queries in logs for a limited time.
Time and clipboard
The clock uses your device’s date, time, and time zone. Clicking or tapping the clock screen writes the displayed date and time to the system clipboard. EmpireClock does not read the clipboard’s existing contents or send copied text to its location provider.
Your device manages clipboard availability. Apple features such as Universal Clipboard may make copied text available on your other devices, depending on your settings.
Support messages
If you email support, your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include are used to respond to your request. Those messages are handled by the email providers involved. Please include only information relevant to your question.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store downloads and may process purchase, usage, or diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings. Information Apple makes available to developers may include App Store reports or diagnostics you choose to share. See Apple’s privacy information for details.
This website
This support website is hosted through Sites and Cloudflare. The hosting providers receive information needed to serve and protect the site, such as your IP address and browser request details, and may use operational or security cookies. The pages created for EmpireClock do not add advertising, analytics, or contact forms.
Links to the App Store, the location provider, and other websites are governed by the destination’s own policies.
